Navas del Selpillar, Spain, my winterstop 2023 - 2024
This blog is about some local activities I did here.
The 28th of february it was the Dia del Andalucia. It commemorates the 28 February 1980 referendum on the Statute of Autonomy of Andalusia in which the Andalusian electorate voted for the statute that made Andalusia an autonomous community of Spain.

I cycled to Lucena several times, just as an activity, and ofcourse I took the Via Verde to do so. There I had a look around town (and 😁 around coffees and canas), visited the castle, a church that happened to be opened (which seldom is the case), some chinese bazars and some 😋 chinese restaurants and did some extra shopping (filling four panniers ...).

On a very nice day early february (!) I made a daytrip called Ruta de los Lagares de Moriles, which means Route of the winepresses near Moriles. I did not see any one of them, which was caused by my decision to shorten my trip 😁. And that was because I took to much time on the first part of the trip and all of those winepresses are located at the second part of it. I therefor made a second trip medio march and then followed the CP-83 "De los lagares". That is part of the old road from Motile to Aquilar v.v. and along it are a lot of lagares (storagebuildings) located. South of Moriles is olive-region and north it is wine-region.
I (finally) took the time to inspect the freewheel of the rearhub of my
OnTheRoad 4.0 🖱️
which had been a very long time ago.
These pictures show you three aspects that make my superbicycle

- It has two industrial ballbearings (and the hub has another two,
- It has four sets of two (independened) palls,
- And it has 36 engagementpoint for those palls (instead of 10).
All was ✅ oké, just as I expected, no worries.
The next blog will be about my first longerdistance trip of 2024. Somehow it feels the weather will be very nice to do so much earlier then last year, so I guess I will be on my OnTheRoad 4.0 🖱️ soon.
